Harvest Right Product Warranty and Return Policy
Money-Back Guarantee
Customers may cancel their orders before shipment for a refund, minus a 3% fee to cover the credit card processing charges incurred by Harvest Right.
Once the freeze dryer has shipped, returns can be made within 30 days of the ship date for a refund, minus shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee.
3-Year Limited Warranty
This warranty covers all Harvest Right Freeze Dryers sold after February 1, 2019.
Full One-Year Warranty (U.S. Continental 48 States Only)

Warranty Period: 1 year from the original ship date.

Included: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.

Harvest Right’s Responsibility: Repair or replace, at its discretion, any part of the freeze dryer or vacuum pump found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship.

Consumer’s Responsibility: Service call charges. Consumers may also be responsible for the cost of replacement parts resulting from misuse or neglect (see below for consumer responsibilities).
Limited 3-Year Warranty

Warranty Period: Covers the second and third years from the original ship date.

Harvest Right’s Responsibility: Repair or replace, at its discretion, any part of the sealed refrigeration system (compressor, condenser, evaporator, tubing) that fails due to defective materials or workmanship.

Consumer’s Responsibility: Diagnostic charges, as well as transportation and delivery costs associated with service.
Limited Warranty (Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico)

Service Terms: Consumers are responsible for service through either a qualified local provider approved by Harvest Right or directly with Harvest Right. Consumers will cover the costs for shipping the product to the service provider or technician travel costs. If the product needs to be shipped to Harvest Right for repairs, consumers will be eligible for a shipping credit, determined at the time of shipping.

Harvest Right’s Responsibility: Telephone and email support, and provision of necessary parts as deemed appropriate.

Consumer’s Responsibility: Local service costs and parts replacement due to misuse or neglect, plus transportation and delivery costs for parts to and from the consumer.
Normal Responsibilities of the Consumer
This warranty applies only to freeze dryers used in clean environments and operated according to Harvest Right’s instructions. The consumer is responsible for the following:
- Proper use of the appliance per the provided instructions.
- Correct installation according to the provided guidelines and local electrical codes.
- Proper connection to a grounded power supply with sufficient voltage and replacing any blown fuses or fixing loose connections.
- Ensuring the appliance operates in a clean, well-ventilated area with temperatures between 35°F (2°C) and 95°F (35°C).
- Avoiding damage during installation (e.g., do not lift the unit by the door).
- Proper maintenance and operation of both the freeze dryer and vacuum pump.
- Ensuring that freeze-dried food or materials are completely dry before packaging.
- Using durable, air- and water-tight containers for storage.
- Including fresh, unexpired oxygen absorbers in the sealed containers.
Harvest Right is not responsible for the quality of freeze-dried food, materials, or the packaging of these items.
Exclusions
The warranty does not cover the following:
- Modifications or after-market accessories that void the warranty.
- Consequential or incidental damages, including property damage and related expenses.
- Service calls for issues unrelated to material or workmanship defects.
- Damages resulting from services performed by unauthorized personnel.
- Use of parts not provided or approved by Harvest Right.
- Damages caused by misuse, inadequate power supply, or acts of God.
- Products with altered or removed serial numbers.
- Use of extension cords instead of a direct power supply connection.
- Claims for personal injury, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits.
- Transfers of ownership: The warranty is void if the product is sold or transferred to someone other than the original purchaser.
