Shipping policy

1. Overview
This Shipping Policy explains how Off Grid Selection delivers your order. We work directly with each brand's manufacturer or distributor to ship products efficiently and securely.
2. Where We Ship
We currently ship within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territories.
3. Shipping Cost
Shipping is free on all orders within the contiguous United States, except for select oversized or specialty items such as Survive-a-Storm tornado shelters, which require additional freight charges shown on the product page.
4. Order Processing Time
Orders placed before 12:00 AM Eastern Time are typically processed the same business day. Most orders are handed off to the shipping carrier within 1–2 business days.
5. Estimated Delivery
Total delivery time is typically 5–9 business days:
- Handling: 1–2 business days
- Transit: 4–7 business days
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to weather, carrier delays, holidays, or remote delivery locations.
6. Made-to-Order and Custom Items
Certain products, including Survive-a-Storm tornado shelters, are built to order and may have extended lead times. Estimated production and delivery timelines will be provided on the product page or upon request.
7. Carriers
Depending on the size and weight of your order, shipments are handled by UPS, FedEx, USPS, or LTL freight carriers. Larger items may require scheduled delivery appointments.
8. Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information, including the carrier name and tracking link so you can monitor delivery status.
9. Damaged Shipments
- Freight shipments (storm shelters, golf carts, large e-bikes, large solar systems, oversized batteries, water features, and any other LTL freight delivery): if the shipment arrives visibly damaged, REFUSE THE DELIVERY. Tell the driver "refused — damaged" and write the same on the carrier's delivery receipt. Do not sign for the shipment. Email us within 24 hours of the refused delivery so we can arrange a replacement.
- Parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS): inspect your shipment upon opening and photograph any damage before unpacking further. Email photos and your order number to support@offgridselection.com within 48 hours of delivery.
10. Lost Packages
If tracking shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors or your delivery location. If still not found, contact us so we can assist with an investigation.
11. Wrong Address
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses.
12. Returns
Return shipping costs depend on the reason for the return. Off Grid Selection covers return shipping for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. The customer is responsible for return shipping on change-of-mind returns, and a 25% restocking fee applies. Please refer to our Return and Refund Policy for full details, including the list of items that cannot be returned.
