How long does shipping take?
Most orders are delivered within 5–9 business days total: 1–2 business days for handling and 4–7 business days for transit. Heavy freight items may take longer. Made-to-order items, such as Survive-a-Storm tornado shelters, have a 4–12 week build time depending on the model; the exact lead time is shown on each product page above the buy button.
Where do you ship?
We ship within the contiguous United States only. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, or international addresses.
Is shipping really free?
Yes — for every order except Survive-a-Storm tornado shelters. Storm shelters ship via freight and have a shipping cost displayed on the product page (and added at checkout). Every other product on the site ships free to the contiguous U.S., and the price you see at checkout is the final price.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay, ACH bank transfer, and USDC. All payments are processed securely through encrypted payment gateways.
Do you charge sales tax?
We are required to collect Michigan state sales tax on orders shipped to Michigan addresses. Orders shipped to other states do not have sales tax added at checkout.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with the tracking number, carrier, and a link to track your shipment. You can also track at our order tracking page.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy on most items, and every return is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Damaged, defective, or incorrect items shipped by us: we cover return shipping and provide a prepaid label. Full refund with no restocking fee.
- Change-of-mind returns and other returns not covered above: the customer is responsible for return shipping, and a 25% restocking fee applies.
Some items cannot be returned for change of mind — including all Survive-a-Storm tornado shelters (built to order), all Rambo Bikes, and all HappyRun Bikes (per their manufacturers' no-return policies). Other brands may have stricter return rules set by their manufacturers; when that applies, the brand-specific terms are shown on the product page above the buy button. Can I cancel my order?
Yes — if your order has not yet been forwarded to the manufacturer or shipped, contact us at support@offgridselection.com right away for a full refund. Survive-a-Storm shelters cannot be cancelled once production has begun, and Rambo Bikes and HappyRun Bikes cannot be cancelled once the order has been forwarded to the manufacturer. Some other brands have similar restrictions noted on the product page.
What if my product arrives damaged?
For freight shipments (storm shelters, golf carts, large e-bikes, large solar systems, oversized batteries, water features, and any other LTL freight delivery): if the shipment arrives visibly damaged, REFUSE THE DELIVERY. Tell the driver “refused — damaged” and write the same on the carrier's delivery receipt. Do not sign for it. Email us within 24 hours at support@offgridselection.com and we will arrange a replacement.
For parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other small-package carriers): inspect upon opening. Photograph any damage before unpacking further. Email photos and your order number to support@offgridselection.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
Are products covered by warranty?
Yes. Every product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Specific terms vary by brand and product — details are in the manual that ships with the product, or you can email us and we'll send you the details.
