Customers can cancel their orders before shipment for a refund, minus a 3% processing fee to cover credit card charges incurred by Harvest Right.
Once a freeze dryer has shipped, customers may return it within 30 days of the ship date for a refund, excluding shipping fees and a 15% restocking charge.
3-Year Limited Warranty
All Harvest Right Freeze Dryers sold after February 1, 2019, are covered by this warranty.
Full One-Year Warranty (U.S. Continental 48 States Only)
Warranty Period: 1 year from the original ship date.
Included: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
Harvest Right’s Responsibility: We will repair or replace any part of the freeze dryer or vacuum pump that proves to be defective in materials or workmanship.
Consumer’s Responsibility: The consumer is responsible for service call fees and may be required to pay for replacement parts if the defect is due to misuse or neglect. See the "Normal Responsibilities of the Consumer" section below for more details.
Limited 3-Year Warranty
Warranty Period: The second and third years from the original ship date.
Harvest Right’s Responsibility: We will repair or replace any part of the sealed refrigeration system (compressor, condenser, evaporator, tubing) that fails due to defects in materials or workmanship.
Consumer’s Responsibility: The consumer will be responsible for diagnostic fees, as well as any transportation and delivery costs for the appliance if service is needed.
Limited Warranty (Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico)
This warranty covers the same period and includes the same terms as described above, but service will be provided by the consumer or an authorized local service provider approved by Harvest Right. The consumer is responsible for shipping costs or technician travel expenses if the product needs to be sent for repair. A shipping credit may be offered at Harvest Right's discretion if the product is shipped to us for repair.
Limited International Warranty
Warranty Period: 1 year from the original ship date.
Included: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
Harvest Right’s Responsibility: We will offer support via phone and email and provide necessary parts as deemed appropriate by Harvest Right.
Consumer’s Responsibility: The consumer is responsible for local service costs and parts due to misuse or neglect, as well as any shipping fees for parts delivered from Harvest Right.
Normal Responsibilities of the Consumer
This warranty is valid only for freeze dryers used in clean environments and operated according to Harvest Right’s instructions. Consumers are responsible for:
- Using the appliance properly in accordance with the provided instructions.
- Ensuring proper installation, following local electrical codes and appliance guidelines.
- Connecting the appliance to a grounded power supply with adequate voltage and repairing any wiring defects.
- Operating the appliance in a clean, well-ventilated area, with temperatures between 35°F (2°C) and 95°F (35°C).
- Avoiding damage during installation (e.g., do not lift the unit by the door).
- Proper maintenance of the freeze dryer and vacuum pump.
- Ensuring freeze-dried food is completely dry before packaging.
- Using suitable, durable containers that prevent air or moisture from entering.
- Including adequate and fresh oxygen absorbers in sealed containers, ensuring they are not expired or prematurely exposed to air.
Harvest Right is not responsible for the quality of freeze-dried foods, packaging, or materials.
Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Modifications or aftermarket accessories, which void the warranty.
- Consequential or incidental damages, such as property damage or other expenses resulting from warranty breaches.
- Service calls not related to defects in materials or workmanship.
- Damages caused by unauthorized repairs.
- Non-Harvest Right parts or parts obtained from non-authorized suppliers.
- External causes such as misuse, abuse, insufficient power supply, or natural disasters.
- Products with altered or missing serial numbers.
- The use of extension cords instead of a direct connection to the power supply.
- Claims for personal injuries, incidental damages, or economic loss.
- The warranty does not apply to non-original owners of the freeze dryer.
Service
To verify your warranty, retain your original delivery slip, purchase receipt, or other payment records. This written warranty grants you specific legal rights, and you may have additional rights depending on your state or country.
