Product Warranty and Return Policy
Hard Parts Warranty
Hard Parts include: Frame, Plastics, Struts, and Brackets.
All of our products are covered by a 3-year warranty against defects in material and/or workmanship. This warranty covers only the repair or replacement of the defective part. It does not cover:

Finishes (plating, painted surfaces, discoloration, rust)

Abuse, misuse, improper installation, modification, or normal wear and tear

Shipping costs for defective products or return shipping for products to Badass Tents
Before sending a replacement part, the defective part must be returned to us or we must have an agreement for return of the defective part.
Soft Parts Warranty
Soft Parts include: Fabrics, Clothing, Patches, and Decals.
While your Badass Tent is thoroughly inspected before shipping, we cannot offer a warranty on soft parts after the tent has been used. Common exclusions include:
- Tears or rips caused by misuse (e.g., getting stuck during set-up, dog damage, etc.)
- Damage from improper handling, use, or wear
If damage occurs during your adventures, we can assist in repairing your tent at cost through our manufacturer.
Warranty Terms
Badass Tents offers a 3-year warranty on all products, covering defects in materials or workmanship. This applies if the product is cared for properly but fails due to a defect. Repairs due to negligence or normal wear-and-tear may be performed at a reasonable cost. Damages from wind, UV exposure, rust, mold/mildew, or acts of nature are not covered. Additionally, damage from improper setup (such as poles or structural damage) is not covered.

Alterations or modifications to the product will void the warranty.

Fiberglass poles are not covered by warranty, even if they split, regardless of age.
To process a warranty claim, you must return the defective item. Keep the original sales receipt, as a proof of purchase. We will not accept bank or credit card statements as proof.
Product Return Information
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not pleased, you may return your product within 30 days of receipt for a refund. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. We do not accept returns after 30 days, even if the package hasn’t been opened.

Return shipping for items being returned for a refund is not covered by warranty.

Vehicle Load Considerations
Understanding your vehicle's load capacity is essential when using a rooftop tent:

Know the load rating for your specific vehicle, as different vehicles have different roof ratings. This information is available in your vehicle’s owner's manual.

Types of load ratings:

On-road load rating: The load rating when driving on a sealed road.

Static load rating: The load rating when the vehicle is stationary (important for rooftop tents).

Off-road load rating: The load rating when traveling on unsealed roads.
It’s critical to consider any accessories or holders added to your vehicle, as they count toward the total weight of your cargo. Overloading your vehicle can cause damage, void your warranty, risk loss of your load, or create safety hazards.

Do not exceed your vehicle’s load limits. Overloading is unsafe, illegal, and could result in accidents or vehicle damage. Always stay within the rated capacity for each circumstance.
