Product Warranty and Return Policy
Hard Parts Warranty
Hard Parts include: Frame, Plastics, Struts, and Brackets.
All of our products are backed by a 3-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. However, this warranty does not cover finishes such as plating, painted surfaces, discoloration, or rust. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts under normal use. We will not honor any claims for parts that have been misused, abused, improperly installed, modified, or have simply experienced normal wear and tear.
Before a replacement part is shipped to you, we require that the original defective part is returned to us, or we will need a prior agreement regarding its replacement.
Please note, we do not cover labor costs for installation or disassembly, painting costs, or any expenses incurred by third-party vendors related to the use of the product.
Soft Parts Warranty
Soft Parts include: Fabrics, Clothing, Patches, and Decals.
Each Badass Tent undergoes thorough inspection before shipment to ensure it leaves in perfect condition. Once the tent is in your possession, we will not replace fabrics/windows if they are ripped or torn, or damaged due to improper use (e.g., stuck during setup or from pets). Fabrics and soft materials are not indestructible and are not covered once used.
If any issues arise during your adventures, we can help arrange repairs at cost with our manufacturer.
We stand by our products and customer commitment. Our 3-year warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship, but damage from misuse, negligence, or normal wear and tear is not included. Additionally, damage caused by wind, UV exposure, rust, mold/mildew, or other acts of nature is not covered. Fiberglass poles are susceptible to breakage under improper setup and are not covered, regardless of age.
Note: Fading of materials or color is not considered a defect.
Warranty Conditions

Alterations or modifications to the product void the warranty.
- To initiate a warranty claim, the defective item must be returned first. Ensure you keep your original sales receipt or online order confirmation—this is required for warranty service or replacement.
- Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Shipping costs (both for defective products and returns) are not covered under warranty.
Important: Badass Tents is not responsible for lost or damaged packages in transit. Once a package is delivered, it will not be replaced under warranty if lost or stolen.
Product Return Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! If for any reason you're not happy with your Badass Tent product, we offer a 30-day return policy.

Returns must be made within 30 days of receipt.

Restocking fee: A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

Return shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- Returns will not be accepted after 30 days. This includes unopened packages.
Please note that returns for defective products are not covered by the warranty for return shipping costs.
Vehicle Load Considerations
It’s crucial to understand your vehicle’s load capacity before using a rooftop tent. Different vehicles have varying load ratings, so it’s important to check your vehicle’s manual to find the specific roof load rating. Here’s a breakdown of the key ratings to consider:

On-Road Load Rating: This refers to the load your vehicle can carry on sealed roads.

Static Load Rating: This applies when the vehicle is stationary. This is the relevant rating when using a rooftop tent.

Off-Road Load Rating: For vehicles traveling off-road, this rating is typically lower than on-road ratings due to the harsher conditions. Some manufacturers provide this information in the vehicle’s Owner’s Manual.
Important Reminder: Always factor in the weight of any accessories or gear (e.g., holders, racks) you add to your vehicle’s roof. These contribute to the total load, which should not exceed the rated limit.
Warning: It’s unsafe to overload your vehicle. Doing so can cause damage to your vehicle, result in loss of your load, void your warranty, or even lead to traffic accidents. Never exceed your vehicle’s load rating. Overloading is illegal and can have serious consequences. Always adhere to the specified weight limits.
