Product Warranty and Return Policy

WARRANTY POLICY

Hard Parts Warranty
Hard Parts Include: Frame, Plastics, Struts, and Brackets

All of our products are covered by a 3-year warranty against defects in material and/or workmanship. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of parts proven defective under normal use. It does not cover finishes such as plating, painted surfaces, discoloration, or rust. The warranty is void if the product is misused, abused, improperly installed, modified, or subjected to normal wear and tear.

For any defective parts, we require the original part to be returned to us before sending a replacement. If you prefer to receive a replacement part in advance, we can arrange this upon agreement.

Please Note: We do not cover shop labor, painting costs, or any third-party services related to the installation or disassembly of the product.

Soft Parts Warranty
Soft Parts Include: Fabrics, Clothing, Patches, and Decals

Your Badass Tent undergoes a rigorous inspection both before leaving the manufacturer and upon arrival at our facility. Once used, fabrics and windows are not covered under warranty for damage such as rips, tears, or wear during setup and takedown, or damage caused by pets. Fabrics are not impervious to damage and cannot be replaced once in use. However, if any damage occurs, we are happy to assist with repairs at cost through our manufacturer.

We offer a 3-year warranty on defects in materials or craftsmanship for all products. If properly cared for, defective products will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. Repairs for negligence or normal wear-and-tear can be performed at a reasonable cost. Wind damage, UV damage, rust, mold/mildew, and pole damage from improper setup are not covered by the warranty. Additionally, material fading or discoloration is not considered a defect.

Please Note: Any alteration or modification to the product will void the warranty.

Warranty Process

For warranty service or replacement, the defective item must be returned to us first. Keep your original sales receipt or order confirmation as proof of purchase. Bank statements or credit card receipts are not accepted as proof of purchase. The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable. Whether an item is repaired or replaced is at our discretion.

Important: We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during shipping. Lost or stolen packages once delivered are also not covered by warranty and will not be automatically replaced.

Product Return Information

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Badass Tents purchase. If you're not happy, you may return the product within 30 days of receipt for a refund. A 15% restocking fee will be applied, and the refund will be issued in the same form as the original payment. Returns are not accepted after 30 days, no exceptions, even if the package is unopened.

Please Note: Return shipping costs for items being returned for a refund are not covered by warranty. Shipping for defective products sent back to us is also not covered by warranty.

Vehicle Load Considerations

Before installing a rooftop tent or other gear, it's crucial to understand your vehicle’s load capacity. Every vehicle has different roof load ratings, which can be found in your vehicle’s owner’s manual.

There are three types of load ratings to be aware of:

1. On-road Load Rating: The maximum weight your vehicle can carry while traveling on paved roads.
2. Static Load Rating: The maximum weight the vehicle can carry while stationary (e.g., when using a rooftop tent).
3. Off-road Load Rating: The weight capacity for when your vehicle is driving on unsealed roads or rough terrain.

Additionally, if you attach any accessories (like roof racks or carriers) to your vehicle, be sure to account for their weight in your total cargo allowance. Overloading your vehicle is dangerous and could result in vehicle damage, loss of your load, voided warranty or insurance, and even traffic accidents. It’s also illegal to exceed the load capacity of your vehicle.

Always ensure you adhere to your vehicle’s load ratings for safety and to avoid voiding any warranties or insurance coverage.
