Product Warranty and Return Policy
Hard Parts Warranty
Our hard parts, including frames, plastics, struts, and brackets, are backed by a 3-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of parts found to be defective under normal use. However, this warranty does not cover damage to finishes like plating, painted surfaces, discoloration, or rust. Additionally, it excludes damage caused by abuse, misuse, improper installation, modifications, or normal wear and tear.
Before we send out a replacement part, we require the defective part to be returned or an agreement to send the replacement in advance. Note: We do not refund shop labor, painting costs, or other third-party vendor fees related to product use.
Soft Parts Warranty
For soft parts such as fabrics, clothing, patches, and decals, these are not covered by the warranty once used. Any damage due to rips, tears, improper operation (e.g., getting stuck during use), or other similar issues cannot be warranted. However, if you experience such damage, we can help you arrange for repairs at cost through our manufacturer.
Warranty Exclusions:
- Damage caused by wind, natural elements (e.g., UV damage, rust, mold), or improper setup.
- Fiberglass poles may occasionally split, but this is not covered under warranty.
- Material/color fading does not indicate a defect.
Important: Alterations or modifications to any product will void the warranty.
Warranty Process
To initiate a warranty claim, you must send the defective item back to us. Ensure you keep your original sales receipt or an online order confirmation, as this is required to process warranty claims. Bank or credit card statements are not valid proof of purchase.
The warranty is valid only for the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable. Whether the product is repaired or replaced is at the discretion of Badass Tents. We are not responsible for any packages lost or damaged during transit.
Product Return Information
If you're not completely satisfied with your Badass Tents product, you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a refund, minus a 15% restocking fee. No returns are accepted after 30 days. Return shipping costs are not covered by the warranty, and defective product shipping is also the responsibility of the customer.
Vehicle Load Considerations
It's important to adhere to your vehicle’s load ratings to ensure safe transportation of cargo. The following are key load ratings to consider:
-
On-road rating: Load rating when the vehicle is on a sealed road.
-
Static rating: Load rating when the vehicle is stationary, important for rooftop tents.
-
Off-road rating: Load rating for unsealed roads without surface protection.
Always account for the weight of any accessories or holders attached to your rack in your cargo allowance. Overloading your vehicle can result in damage, safety issues, and legal consequences.
Stay safe and ensure your vehicle and roof rack are used within their rated limits to avoid any risks or violations.
