Vehicle Load Considerations
Understanding your vehicle’s load capacity is critical to ensure safety and avoid damage:
-
Load Ratings: Always refer to your vehicle’s owner's manual to understand its on-road, static, and off-road load ratings.
-
On-road Rating: For use on sealed roads.
-
Static Rating: When the vehicle is stationary (important for rooftop tents).
-
Off-road Rating: For unsealed or rugged roads.
-
Accessory Weight: If you add accessories (such as roof racks or holders), remember to include their weight in your overall cargo capacity.
-
Safety Warning: Never overload your vehicle. Overloading can result in:
-
Vehicle damage or poor handling.
-
Loss of cargo or safety risks.
-
Voiding warranties and insurance.
-
Legal consequences due to unsafe load limits.
It is essential to follow load ratings to avoid dangerous situations, ensure your vehicle operates safely, and maintain the integrity of your warranty.
