The Forest SM delivers full suspension trail capability at a lower power tier and lighter weight than the XM. A 500W motor (760W peak) with 130Nm of torque provides strong climbing ability through a torque sensor that keeps power delivery smooth and responsive. At 64 lbs, it is the lightest full-suspension bike Velowave makes - 12 lbs lighter than the Forest XM - which translates to more agile handling on singletrack and easier transport to the trailhead.

Suspension duties are handled by a 140mm air fork up front and a 185x45 rear air shock with 42mm travel and external rebound adjustment, providing 121mm of total frame travel. The 48V 15Ah LG battery (720Wh) delivers up to 70 miles on PAS and 40 miles on throttle, with a faster 5-hour charge time thanks to the included 3A charger. Shimano 10-speed drivetrain with Deore derailleur, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, and 27.5" x 2.8" Kenda tires complete a trail-ready package that favors nimble handling over raw power.
