Phoenix Domes Zero Infrared Heaters

Description

Designed for year-round comfort, our dark-facing ceramic infrared heaters provide powerful, silent, and energy-efficient warmth without the red glow found in many traditional infrared heaters. Instead of heating the air, they radiate warmth directly to people and objects, making them feel naturally warmer and more comfortable.

Key Benefits

  • Dark-Facing Design – no distracting light, ideal for nighttime or glamping use.

  • Two Sizes Available – 1800W (120V) or 3200W (220/240V).

    • 1800W: Perfect for small domes or supplementary heat.

    • 3200W: Capable of heating a full 20’ dome, even through winter in coastal BC.

  • Flexible Heating – available in both ceramic and aluminum versions.

    • Ceramic model: Premium materials and wider heat spread.

    • Aluminum model: More economical, with slightly narrower coverage but equal heat output.

  • Control Options – pair with a thermostat (240V compatible) or choose the remote-control version, which includes four heat settings and a timer.

Installation Notes

  • 3200W model requires a double-pole breaker (220/240V).

  • 1800W model works with a single-pole 20A breaker (120V).

  • Remote option cannot be used together with a thermostat.

Shipping & Availability
Infrared heaters can be purchased individually or as add-ons to dome orders. They are generally in stock and ready to ship. Standard shipping policies apply.

Lifespan

Phoenix Dome covers typically last 10+ years, depending on UV exposure, and replacement covers are available to extend the life for another decade or more. The steel frame is built for long-term durability and can last indefinitely if not exposed to constant moisture or salty air.

Cleaning

Routine cleaning is simple. Dirt and algae can be removed with a sponge and mild soap, or for faster results, a pressure washer. Chimney soot may leave stubborn streaks, which can be scrubbed with soap or a light bleach solution. Windows should be cleaned with a non-abrasive sponge and soap or glass cleaner. For interiors, older pleather liners can be wiped with a damp cloth, while the newer Oxford Fabric liners are sectioned for convenience and can be machine-washed.

Managing Condensation

Because the dome’s outer cover is impermeable, managing indoor moisture is essential. Installing an exhaust fan in kitchens or bathrooms is recommended, and solar fans can help maintain airflow year-round. A dehumidifier is highly recommended during colder months to prevent mold or mildew buildup. Applying anti-mold spray along the bottom edges of the liner, especially behind furniture or appliances, is also a good preventive measure.

Repairs

Minor holes or leaks are easily fixed using the included Vinyl Glue and patch kit. Additional patches are available if needed, ensuring quick and lasting repairs.

Panorama Window Disclaimer

The clear vinyl panorama window is durable, UV resistant, and will not yellow. Wrinkles or surface unevenness may appear and can smooth out slightly with heat and sun exposure, though they will not disappear completely. The view may appear somewhat blurred, which is normal for this material. For customers seeking higher clarity, upgraded glass or polycarbonate options are being developed.

Zip-Off Window Disclaimer

The zip-off panorama window can be removed fully or partially for added airflow in warmer seasons. To preserve zipper longevity, avoid frequent use and always release the tension on the hooks below before operating. It is recommended to have one person hold the window while another works the zipper to prevent strain. Please note that zipper damage caused by improper or excessive use is not covered under warranty.
