Autonomous MetroPod – Compact Prefab Backyard Office

The Autonomous MetroPod is Autonomous's smallest pod, made for city and suburban yards. It has a low-slope roof, one full-height glass door, and a compact footprint that fits where a larger backyard office won't. Inside there are 80 sq ft of interior space under a 7.25 ft ceiling, enough for a dedicated home office, study, or focused workspace away from the distractions of the house.

The MetroPod is designed to stay below the permit threshold in most US cities, and it can be assembled in 1–2 days as a DIY project or with professional installation. Local building codes vary, so please confirm requirements with your municipality or HOA before ordering.

Insulated, Comfortable & Quiet

The walls are built from metal siding over four layers of insulation. Sound stays in, weather stays out, and the room holds its temperature through the day, with a comfort range of 65–90°F.

Bright, Open Interior

The full-height glass door and side windows, made of 5/16" tempered glass, bring in daylight. The 7.25 ft ceiling keeps the room feeling open despite its small footprint.

Works on Any Surface – No Slab Required

The MetroPod sits on four adjustable leveling feet with a leveling height range of 8.4"–12.9". It can go on almost any surface with no slab and no excavation, on ground with up to a 5° slope. The structure has a 2.3-ton load capacity.

Built-In Power & Connectivity

A single power line connects to your main house, and all internal wiring runs through the walls. Plug it in once and everything is powered. The MetroPod comes with:
