1. Manufacturer's warranty
Every product sold by Off Grid Selection is backed by the manufacturer's warranty. Coverage details — length, scope, exclusions — vary by product and brand. The full warranty terms are included in the product manual or on the manufacturer's website. If you can't find your warranty information, email support@offgridselection.com with your order number and we'll send it to you.
2. Damaged on arrival
For freight shipments (storm shelters, golf carts, large e-bikes, large solar systems, oversized batteries, water features, and any other LTL freight delivery): if the shipment arrives visibly damaged, REFUSE THE DELIVERY. Tell the driver “refused — damaged” and write the same on the carrier's delivery receipt. Do not sign for it. Email us within 24 hours at support@offgridselection.com and we will arrange a replacement at no cost to you.
For parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other small-package carriers): inspect your shipment upon opening. If anything appears damaged — even just to the outer box — photograph the damage before unpacking further. Email photos, a description of the issue, and your order number to support@offgridselection.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
3. What manufacturer warranties typically cover
Most manufacturer warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. They typically do not cover:
- Damage from misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or accidents
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from environmental conditions outside the product's specifications
- Consumable parts (batteries, filters, belts, etc.) unless specifically noted
4. Filing a warranty claim
To start a warranty claim:
- Email support@offgridselection.com with your order number and a detailed description of the issue, including photos or video.
- We will coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf.
- If the claim is approved, the manufacturer will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund according to the warranty terms.
5. Return shipping for warranty claims
For damaged or defective items, Off Grid Selection covers all return shipping. We provide a prepaid return label — there is no out-of-pocket cost to you for warranty returns.
6. Labor and installation
Standard manufacturer warranties cover the product itself but typically do not cover labor or installation costs incurred by the customer. Specific exceptions are listed in each manufacturer's warranty documentation.
7. Warranty transfers
Most manufacturer warranties apply only to the original purchaser and are non-transferable. Some brands offer extended or transferable warranties — check the product documentation for details.
