Bolt hanger kits make it simple to expand your dome’s functionality. Whether you want to hang a hammock for relaxation, a yoga swing for practice, or even aerial equipment for performance and training, these kits provide secure attachment points that integrate directly with the dome’s frame.

Standard Bolt Hanger Kits are best for lighter applications such as hanging chairs, hammocks, yoga trapeze setups, or children’s swings. They are designed for infrequent adult body weight in motion and include a stainless-steel bolt hanger and lock nut that can be added to any hub of your dome frame.

Heavy-Duty Bolt Hanger Kits are built for more demanding, full-time use. Perfect for aerial studios, frequent fitness applications, or multi-person hanging chairs, these kits replace your dome’s standard hub hardware with stronger components, including a Grade 8 tap bolt and hex nut, along with the stainless-steel hanger and lock nut. For high-load or frequent-use scenarios, reinforcement with additional struts may be recommended — contact us for guidance on these types of setups.

In most cases, Standard Kits are all you need. Both kit types are available as individual add-ons or can be included with any dome order, and they are typically in stock and ready to ship immediately.

Specifications: Each kit includes a 316L stainless steel ½" rock-climbing-rated bolt hanger (25kN down and straight out). Standard kits include a zinc lock nut with nylon ring, while Heavy-Duty kits upgrade to a Grade 8 tap bolt, hex nut, and yellow zinc lock nut for added strength.

Lifespan: The dome cover is designed to last 10 years or more, depending on UV exposure. When the time comes, replacement covers are available and will extend the life of your structure for another decade or longer. The steel frame is built to last indefinitely, as long as it is not exposed to excessive moisture or salty air.

Cleaning: Keeping your dome clean is simple. A sponge with soap and water works well, or for faster results, a pressure washer can remove dirt and algae with ease. Chimney soot may require a little extra scrubbing with soap or diluted bleach. Windows should be cleaned with a non-abrasive sponge and a standard glass cleaner. Interior liners are just as straightforward—older pleather liners can be wiped down with a damp cloth, while the new Oxford Fabric liner comes in washable sections that fit easily into a home washing machine.

Condensation: Because the dome cover creates a sealed environment, it’s important to manage indoor moisture. For domes with kitchens or bathrooms, installing an exhaust fan is recommended, and solar fans are excellent for improving airflow and reducing heat year-round. A dehumidifier is especially useful during colder months to prevent mold and mildew. Spraying anti-mold treatments around the bottom edge of the liner, especially behind furniture and appliances, is also a smart preventative step.

Repairs: Small holes or leaks can be fixed quickly with the included Vinyl Glue and patch kit. Additional patches are available upon request to ensure your dome remains secure and weather-tight.

Panorama window disclaimer: The clear vinyl panorama window is UV-resistant and won’t yellow, but it may develop wrinkles or unevenness that heat and sunlight can only partially smooth out. The view will appear slightly softened, which is normal for this material. For customers seeking a clearer option, higher-end glass or polycarbonate upgrades are in development.

Zip-off window disclaimer: The panorama window can be partially or fully removed for increased airflow in warmer weather. To protect the zipper, avoid frequent use and always release the tension on the hooks before opening or closing. It is best to have one person hold the window while another operates the zipper. Please note that zipper damage caused by excessive or improper use is not covered under warranty.
