Product Warranty and Return Policy
Harvest Right Product Warranty & Return Policy
Money Back Guarantee: Customers may cancel their orders prior to shipment for a refund, minus a 3% fee to cover the credit card charges incurred by Harvest Right.
Once a freeze dryer has shipped, customers have 30 days from the ship date to return the product for a refund, excluding shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee.
3-Year Limited Warranty
All Harvest Right Freeze Dryers purchased after February 1, 2019, are covered by this warranty.
Full One-Year Warranty (valid within the 48 contiguous U.S. states only):
- Warranty Period: One year from the original ship date.
- Includes: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
- Coverage: Harvest Right will repair or replace, at its discretion, any defective part of the freeze dryer or vacuum pump due to faulty workmanship or materials.
- Consumer Responsibility: The consumer is responsible for service call costs and any replacement parts needed due to misuse or neglect. See the "Normal Responsibilities of the Consumer" section below for more details.
Limited 3-Year Warranty
- Warranty Period: Applies to the second and third year from the original ship date.
- Coverage: Harvest Right will repair or replace, at its discretion, any part of the sealed refrigeration system (compressor, condenser, evaporator, tubing) that fails due to defective materials or workmanship.
- Consumer Responsibility: The consumer is responsible for diagnostic charges, transportation, and delivery costs related to service.
Limited Warranty (Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico)
- The time periods and coverage are the same as the standard warranty.
- Service will be provided by the consumer or a qualified local service provider approved by Harvest Right.
- The consumer is responsible for transportation costs to the repair shop or travel expenses for the technician. If shipping directly to Harvest Right is necessary, the consumer will receive a shipping credit, as determined by Harvest Right.
Limited International Warranty (for all countries not listed above)
- Warranty Period: One year from the original ship date.
- Includes: Premier oil vacuum pump and oil-free vacuum pumps.
- Support: Harvest Right will provide support via phone and email, and may send necessary replacement parts.
- Consumer Responsibility: The consumer is responsible for local service costs, parts replacement due to misuse or neglect, and transportation costs for shipping parts from Harvest Right.
Normal Responsibilities of the Consumer
This warranty applies only to freeze dryers used in clean environments and operated according to Harvest Right’s instructions. The consumer is responsible for the following:
- Proper use of the appliance according to the provided instructions.
- Correct installation following the appliance’s instructions and local electrical codes.
- Proper connection to a grounded power supply of adequate voltage, as well as repair of any blown fuses or wiring defects.
- Operating the appliance in a clean area with adequate airflow, within the temperature range of 35°F (2°C) to 95°F (35°C).
- Avoiding damage during or after installation; never lift the unit by the door.
- Properly maintaining and operating both the freeze dryer and vacuum pump.
- Ensuring freeze-dried food is completely dry before packaging.
- Using durable, sealed containers that prevent water or air from entering once sealed.
- Including sufficient, properly functioning oxygen absorbers in each sealed container. These absorbers must not be expired or prematurely exposed to air.
Harvest Right is not responsible for the quality of freeze-dried food or materials, nor for the packaging of the food or materials.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Modifications or aftermarket accessories, which will void the warranty entirely.
- Consequential or incidental damages, including property damage or additional expenses arising from a breach of this warranty.
- Service calls unrelated to defects in materials or workmanship.
- Damage caused by services performed by unauthorized personnel.
- Parts not provided by Harvest Right or authorized suppliers.
- Damage due to external causes such as abuse, misuse, inadequate power supply, or acts of nature.
- Products with altered or removed serial numbers.
- The use of an extension cord instead of a direct connection to an available power supply.
- Claims for personal injury, incidental or consequential damages, or economic losses (such as lost profits or revenue).
- Non-original owners of the freeze dryer. Warranty coverage does not transfer.
Service
It is the consumer’s responsibility to verify the original purchase date to establish the warranty period. Be sure to retain your delivery slip, purchase receipt, or other payment records. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and you may have additional rights depending on your location.
