The REDARC BCDC1250D is a 12V, 50A in-vehicle DC to DC battery charger designed to keep your auxiliary battery fully charged while you're on the move, or by using portable solar panels when parked. With its advanced multi-stage DC-DC charging system, the BCDC1250D ensures optimal charging levels for your battery. This model is built to deliver higher current output and includes an additional SoftStart stage, specifically engineered for more demanding applications.
Equipped with a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, the BCDC1250D allows simultaneous charging from both solar panels and the alternator. Thanks to its Green Power Priority, the charger prioritizes solar charging first, reducing the load on the vehicle’s alternator. It is compatible with both 12V and 24V vehicle systems, and works with both standard and variable/smart alternators.
The BCDC1250D is designed to charge all common battery types, including AGM, Gel, standard lead-acid, Calcium, and LiFePO4. This charger is ideal for battery banks over 200Ah. For smaller battery banks ranging from 75-200Ah, the BCDC1225D is recommended.
This DC-DC charger with solar input has been rigorously tested in various terrains, including deep water crossings, and can withstand extreme temperatures (up to 176°F). Fully sealed to protect against water and dust infiltration, it’s built to endure tough conditions and provide reliable performance. The BCDC1250D maximizes the life and performance of your auxiliary battery, making it perfect for large battery banks (200Ah and above).
